When I hit 76 I swihed to FFB to level. I should have stayed with frostbolt I think bause of the benefits that it gets from the frost tree while ffb doesn't gain as mh until your gear improves by a good amount (need a lot ofrit and spelldamage, e).

I'm a frost mage, but in the fire mage's defense, frost is the stronger tree for PvP lol. :-) I think the more curate test would be for a person to tually resp or use a test realm to resp for free and try out the other tree and see for themselves. But ofourse thereould be issues with bias there.
So let me get this straight, 2 mages were arguing about whh sp was better for AOE grinding, topping the damageharts, e. So they fight Player vs Player to dide who is right ... seems totallyounter-intuitive to me. Lol ... "Ian beat you 1v1 in a PvP fight, therefore I'll land up on the top of the damageharts in a raid" ... d'oh ! Even Better is the reverse .. "My sp is a better AOE grinding sp than yours, therefore I will beat you in a fight".
